Twin/triplet/Multiple pregnancy scans:

Dr Archita has extensive experience of performing scans in twins/triplets/ multiple order pregnancies.

The scans are same as those of singleton pregnancy namely early pregnancy, NT/NB scan, Anomaly scan, Growth scans, Colour doppler scan, Biophysical profile, 3D/4D scans etc.

The procedure of scan in multiple pregnancy is also same as that of single pregnancy. However, these pregnancies pose additional challenges in evaluation of baby, like:

• More time is required for evaluation of more than one baby.
• It may be difficult to get some views because of multiple pregnancy.
• Some additional evaluation is required in certain cases especially in monochorionic pregnancies

Our centre has the necessary expertise and equipment for all of the above.
